Administrators of Volunteer Services of Central New York

The Administrators of Volunteer Services Central New York (AVS/CNY) is a professional association representing a diverse array of directors and coordinators of volunteer services, from public and private human services, health and community organizations. AVS/CNY was formed two decades ago to serve as a resource to members and community organizations. Today AVS/CNY continues to support and promote the concept of volunteerism while continually elevating and enhancing the profession of administrators of volunteer services.

As the field of volunteer management continues to grow, we must be responsive to the increased need for professional development, networking among members and the promotion of volunteerism in Central New York. AVS/CNY is designed not only to enhance our profession but to nurture ourselves as well. The key to our success is promoting teamwork, working together to develop a cadre of volunteers for all agencies through the spirit of camaraderie.

"In American society today, we need to have volunteerism. I truly believe it is the glue that will hold us together and
it will be the energy that will take us into the 21st century."
